2007 Sci-Tech Division Award Winners

The Sci-Tech Division Awards Committee is pleased to announce the 2007 Award Winners:

The 2007 Sci-Tech Achievement Award was awarded to Bonnie Osif, the Engineering Reference and Instruction Librarian at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania.

The 2007 Bonnie Hilditch International Science-Technology and Engineering Divisions Librarian Award, co-sponsored by the SLA Engineering Division, was awarded to Demisssew Tsigemelak Gebreyohannes, Science Librarian (Assistant Head), Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Science Library, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

2007 Division Appreciation Awards were presented to the following honorees:

Anna Ren – Impossible Award, in recognition of her leadership, commitment and endurance during the redesign of the Division’s website, and for her long tenure in communications and networking.

Roger Beckman, in recognition of his leadership of the contributed paper series.

Dale Riordan, in recognition of her devoted work on CE courses, running successful courses 3 years in a row.

Michelle Wilde, in recognition of her efforts to produce the Denver Sci-Tech program.

Lisa Johnson, with many thanks for her patience with our numerous questions, all of which required extensive research in our archives

Marty Jamison, in recognition of his exemplary work as the Sci-Tech News advertising manager.

Tamika Barnes McCullough, in appreciation of her service as Membership Chair.

Virginia Baldwin, in appreciation of her service as Liaison to the ALA Science & Technology Section

Valerie Perry, in appreciation of her service as Treasurer

2007 Longevity Awards were awarded to:
