Welcome Solos!

Hi Solos,

Welcome to the SLA Solo Librarians Division. I am looking forward to an exciting 2009 as Chair. The board wants to hear from you and we will do the best we can to address your concerns. This division's richness and success is driven by our members and so one of the best ways to get something done that you may feel is lacking is to get involved: join a committee; add to our wiki; join the discussion list! I hope to meet many of you in Washington, DC in June at the conference!

Our Mission

To share ideas, problems, and solutions unique to the Solo Librarian, an isolated librarian or information collector/provider who has no professional peers within the immediate organization. We emphasize establishing networking, materials sharing, and problem solving of general managerial concerns among libraries of similar size.
