Welcome Solos!

Hi Solos,

Welcome to the SLA Solo Librarians Division. We are coming to the end of a great year for the division. We had a successful conference with many of our sessions standing room only! It was so great to see old friends and meet new ones. But success like this can only continue if members get involved. We are in need of 2 key positions on our board. We are a team and learn together. Please join the 2010 Solo Team! This division's richness and success is driven by our members and so one of the best ways to get something done that you may feel is lacking is to get involved: join a committee; add to our wiki; join the discussion list!

Our Mission

To share ideas, problems, and solutions unique to the Solo Librarian, an isolated librarian or information collector/provider who has no professional peers within the immediate organization. We emphasize establishing networking, materials sharing, and problem solving of general managerial concerns among libraries of similar size.
