for the Underserved
Is
medical care keeping up with the needs of the "underserved"? In the U.S. the
"underserved" include ethnic minorities, the poor, those living in rural areas
as well as the inner city. Is medical information finding its way to these
groups? Has it improved with the advent on online access to health information?
This program will examine success stories and consider how the medical profession
contributes and how medical and public health information professionals contribute
to health care information for the underserved.

projects between US government agencies and corporations have provided amazing

contributed to a successful project at the Census Bureau.

from an International Perspective
The
World Wide Web is erasing geopolitical boundaries and creating a truly international
panorama of resources. This panel discussion will examine the process of research
in three social science fields from an international perspective: Law,
Economics, and Psychology/Social Work. Panel members will discuss research
methods they have found useful in conducting international research, and key
international issues in their respective fields.
