PAM members Bob Michaelson and Dana Roth, along with Anna Ren of Northwestern University, are co-authors of "Science and Engineering Serials: Issues and challenges in the electronic environment", pages 37-52 in Perspectives on serials in the hybrid environment (ALCTS Papers on Library Technical Services and Collections, #15), ALA, 2007. Bill Armstrong has been promoted to Collection Development Coordinator for all subject disciplines at the Louisiana State University Library. He retains his subject responsibilities for Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy as well.

Ruth Kneale has a new assignment as the systems librarian for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) project, based in Tucson, Arizona. She divides her time between her primary responsibilities at the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope (ATST) project and her new tasks at LSST. ―It's off to a challenging start but it's also quite exciting in a geeky, organize-the-information way" reports Ruth. Also, Ruth’s article "From Static to Dynamic: Choosing and Implementing a Web-Based CMS" was published in the March 2008 Computers in Libraries, http://www.infotoday.com/cilmag/mar08/Kneale.shtml

In transition, Cindy (Mader) Bryan will change jobs in mid-May. She will become a Data Mining Analyst with Anthem's Federal Employee Program in Cincinnati, Ohio. New e-mail address is cbryan1@cinci.rr.com. Cindy’s former position was at the Brill Science Library, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Maria Latyszewskyj of the Environment Canada Library chairs the Atmospheric Science Librari-ans International’s Choice Awards committee, which recognizes the best books published in meteorology, climatology and atmospheric sciences at the American Meteorological Society meeting. PAM member Julia Triplehorn is also a member of the Choice Awards Committee.
