Message from the Chair-Elect

Laurel Kristick
laurel.kristick@oregonstate.edu

Have you been thinking that you'd like to get more involved in PAM? Well now is the time to do it. I am looking for volunteers for several PAM Committees and Board positions in the upcoming year. Please contact me at laurel.kristick@oregonstate.edu or 541-737-7276 if you are interested in any of the following positions:

Roundtable Moderators http://www.sla.org/division/dpam/manual/staff/ roundtbl.html

  • 2006 Astronomy Roundtable Moderator
  • 2006 Computer Science Roundtable Moderator
  • 2006 Mathematics Roundtable Moderator
  • 2006 PAM Wide Roundtable Moderator
  • 2006 Physics Roundtable Moderator
  • 2006 Vendor Update Moderator

Committee Chair positions are usually two-year commitments. Moderator positions are for one year. However, with SLA moving to a January-December calendar, 2005-2006 positions are for 18 months (July 2005-December 2006). More detailed information on the duties of each position can be found at the link after the position listing.

If you are not interested in any of the above positions but would still like to get involved in the Division, please contact me. There is always a lot to do to keep the Division vital and thriving.

I would like to thank the Committee Chairs who will be continuing to serve PAM in the year ahead and those who are completing their terms of commitment this year. You have done an excellent job and PAM really appreciates your efforts.
