Moderator Mangala Krishnamurthy opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m. and welcomed those in attendance. Mangala thanked ACM for sponsoring this event.

During and following the introductions, brief announcements were made:
- Cynthia Holt, Incoming Chair: Wiley book giveaway and drawing for book prizes.
- Karen Croneis: the time and location of the PAM Newcomer's Luncheon and a thank you to the sponsor, Lev Malov, Turpion Ltd.
- Michael Fosmire: the location of the PAM suite and distribution of the dance cards.
- David Stern: Yale University has an opening for a general science librarian.
- New Logo/Visual Identity for PAM
- Michael Fosmire provided a synopsis of last year's debates for changing the image of the association and searching a new name for Special Library Association (SLA). He showed the new SLA logo to the audience. He then opened the floor to discuss how the name and the logo impact the PAM division and whether a change should be considered. He stated PAM should keep its name, it has a value. Members of the audience made suggestions on how a new logo for PAM might look. The incoming board might work on this issue.
- Governing Documents and Recommended Practices Manual
- Kris Fowler presented a summary of revision proposal both to the PAM Division Governing Document and the PAM Division Practices Manual based on model Governing Document and Recommended Division Practices provided by SLA committee. She specifically discussed the guidelines, key issues, and the timeline of the proposed revisions. She distributed a preliminary draft of suggested changes to the Governing Document and asked the audience for their input. She suggested opening a dialog for next year to iron out all the issues. Send comments to Kris Fowler, Dorothy McGarry, Michael Fosmire, and Cynthia Holt. Comments are welcome for the next six months.
- Update on Division Survey 2004-2005
- Molly White is in the process of gathering feedback on the services and activities of PAM Division. She requested all forms on the tables to be filled out and returned. Sometime this Fall each member will receive a web based survey via email. She asked the audience for their input for the format of the questions that will be on the survey. While some of the questions will come from old surveys, there will also be new ones.
- PAM mentoring program
- Emily Poworoznek presented information about the mentoring program and how it works. She plans on developing a database of mentor expertise. She invited the attendees to the PAM Networking breakfast and thanked the sponsor, SIAM.
At the end, a few announcements were made:
- Ruth Kneale is the Information Technology liaison to the SLA.
- Cynthia Holt is looking for volunteers for several PAM Committees and Board positions in the upcoming year.
- The time and location of PAM-coordinated events.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:30am.
