Joanne Goode, Head, Brill Science Library, Miami University is retiring in August. Joanne is a past-chair of the Division (1996-1997) and was honored with the PAM Division Award in 1992 for her work in starting PAMNET. She says, "my membership started in 1985 when my predecessor at the University of Kentucky, Karen Croneis, left. I was shaking in my boots—being just out of library school and finding myself the head of the mathematical sciences library. I still remember Karen heading out the door and telling me 'there are other mathematics librarians out there—go find them', which of course I did through PAM! My association with PAM has been the most important and one of the most enjoyable experiences of my career."

Molly White will speak on Electronic Publishing—The View from the Library at the Sixth International Joint Meeting of the AMS and the Sociedad Matemática Mexicana, Houston, TX, May 13-15. The Special Session on Problems and Issues in Electronic Publishing will include talks from faculty, independent journal publishers, and mathematicians working on technical concerns.
