Show Your Division Spirit, Volunteer!

PAM is known throughout SLA as a spirited, welcoming Division, but that doesn't come for free. As the Annual Conference approaches, the time comes for committee assignments to change, and for volunteers to coordinate programming for the 2004 conference. Without the help of you all, our great Conference programming wouldn't happen.

Whether you are new to the Division or an experienced member, whether you come to the Annual Conference or not, we can use your talents and enthusiasm to move the Division forward. If you haven't done committee work or moderated a program session, now is the perfect time to start. If you've done some work in the Division, consider taking a leadership position on a committee or organizing one of our major programs at the conference.

A list of committees and roundtables, located at http://www.sla.org/division/dpam/manual/staff1.html, shows just how many people it takes to run the Division. That's why we need you. As my high school chemistry teacher used to say "If you're not part of the solution, you're the precipitate."

Please send me an email or call (765-494-2859) with your statement of interest in committees to serve on and/or roundtables to moderate.

Many thanks from me and the Division.
