Agenda for PAMwide Roundtable

Cynthia Holt

Get Involved at the PAMwide Roundtable! The PAMwide Roundtable is an informal meeting, intended to start the conference with a friendly welcome for us and a chance to discuss issues of broad interest. In that light, we will begin the session with introductions and a "welcome to the conference." Following this, we will proceed to:

  1. A review of the progress on the physics translation project by Bob Michaelson (Northwestern University);
  2. An update by Ruth Kneale (National Solar Observatory) on her "Image Research Follow-on Study";
  3. An update by Carol Hutchins (New York University) on the disaster relief effort for Prague libraries (to which PAM made a contribution);
  4. An update on the PAM Strategic Plan by Greg Youngen (University of Illinois);
  5. A memorial tribute to Fritz Whitcomb (University of Chicago); and
  6. A general Q&A time for "OK, this is what's bothering me in my library, and does anyone else feel the same way or have the same problem?"

Minutes from the session will appear in the August PAM Bulletin so that means I need a volunteer to take minutes at the session. If you feel the yen, please contact me. Also, please contact me with your suggestions for discussion topics, especially with questions you might want to bring up in the Q&A time.
