PAM Division Blog Guidelines

PAM operates a blog at http://dpam.blogspot.com/ as a conference reporting tool, for use during the Annual and Winter Meetings. PAM members can post comments and replies quite easily, using the provided functionality of the blog web site. Content should be limited to conference topics: sessions, meetings, and social events.

A "blog" is a common term for a Web Log; basically, it's a Web site where users can post comments in near-real-time, and other users can post replies. Used in a conference context, like this PAM version, a blog can provide a "running commentary" on any and all aspects of the conference.

The PAMblog should aim to be useful for PAM members who are unable to attend the Meetings, or for those who do but face scheduling conflicts (they can attend one session and read the blog on another session), by reporting in a somewhat informal and close to real-time fashion on sessions and events.

The PAMblog is NOT meant to replace the regular division communications, nor is it meant to replace the after-conference reports that appear in the PAM Bulletin. It is merely a limited-purpose supplement to that conference information.
