Cataloging LiaisonThe Cataloging Liaison directs communication and information sharing between the SLA Committee on Cataloging and the PAM Division. The Liaison should attend the Committee on Cataloging Business Meeting at the Annual Conference and provide a report of the Meeting to the PAM Division Chair. During the year, the Liaison may also share cataloging-related information of interest with the PAM Division, including details relevant to the future of standardized bibliographic description of physics/astronomy/mathematics collections in libraries and information centers. Announcements and news of cataloging issues may be posted to the PAM listserv. Usually, the assigned Liaison is a library cataloger, or has had cataloging experience; is knowledgeable of current major cataloging issues, trends, and standards; or produces work regularly in a position which involves some degree of cataloging and/or related bibliographic metadata management.PAM Practices Manual Editor: Kristine Fowler, fowler@math.umn.edu
