Advisory Board

The PAM Advisory Board consists of all appointed Division leaders and Committee Chairs.

Duties:

  • To prepare and deliver reports of activities for each Board meeting, together with any recommendations considered necessary or advisable. Additional reports may be submitted by a committee or requested by the Executive Board or Chair.
  • To participate in meetings of the full/combined Board, which usually occur at the annual conference.
  • To assist and advise the Executive Board in directing the activities of the Division and to take appropriate action on recommendations arising from Board meetings and/or reports of appointed positions and Committee Chairs.

Guidelines:

See also the PAM Division Governing Document.
  • The appointed positions and committee chairs listed in the Practices Manual do not constitute required positions, nor is the Advisory Board restricted to those positions listed. The Chair may appoint Division members to additional positions as needed, or the duties of these positions may be combined or assumed by one of the elected officers.
  • All formal correspondence (see definition in Appendix A) should be shown to the Executive Board prior to sending it. The Chair will then forward this document to the Archivist. The Division shall not be responsible for the statements or opinions advanced in its publications or at meetings of the Division, or for statements by any of its members except those authorized by the Executive Board or those reflecting duly established policies of the Division or Association.
