LISA Agreement

August 1, 2002

The PAM Board agrees to keep in their treasury the funds left over from the LISA IV meeting held in Prague, Czech Republic, July 2-5, 2002. Parts of the funds will be paid out to cover the cost of printing the conference proceedings. Brenda Corbin will ask the PAM treasurer to write a preliminary check for the proceedings and the final check (total approx. $5,500) in the Fall of 2002. The remaining funds will be held in the PAM account, to be returned to Friends of LISA V. The LISA V conference is expected to be held in approximately 4 or 5 years (2006 or 2007). If no Friends of LISA Committee is formed for LISA V, the funds will be paid to the account of the LISA V Local Organizing Committee to be used for conference expenses.

If the carryover amount is substantial, the funds should be put either in a savings account, or in PAM's pooled fund account, with any interest being returned along with the principal to Friends of LISA V. If a LISA meeting is not held within 10 years of the date of this document, PAM may distribute these funds to a similar project such as supporting travel to an SLA conference for a PAM librarian from a developing country, or other similar use to be decided by the PAM Board at that time.

Copies of this agreement will be placed in the Treasurer's section of the PAM Manual and in the PAM Archives.
