2004 Venus Transit Viewing

At 5:30am on Tuesday June 8, 2004, a group of intrepid librarians braved the pre-dawn twilight to gather at the Presidential Portico of the Gaylord Opryland Conference Center for a historic viewing of the Transit of Venus.

After the transit was over, the group ascended to the Division Suite to check out the live webcasts from around the world. On the way, they tried to see how many librarians can fit in an elevator....

How many librarians can you get in an elevator?

Many thanks to everyone who participated in this event!
