Abstract: Electronic journals are fast becoming the preferred method for information dissemination, especially in the sciences. This workshop will guide the participant through all the steps necessary for revising a standard license agreement into a contract that is acceptable to both parties. The principles and practices of license negotiation will be covered, including both business and technical issues. Participants will break up into small,
role-playing groups and negotiate a generic license, which will then be critiqued and evaluated by the other groups.
