Distinguished Service Award Winners - The Military Librarians Division, as it was known then, honored its first Distinguished Award Winner in 1999. The award is recognizes a MLD member for outstanding and sustained contributions to the Division. Since then, the award has been presented annually at the Military Libraries Division Business and Awards meeting during the SLA Conference.
