Please join the Museum, Arts, and Humanities Division for the annual Book and Author Luncheon. Telling the SLA story has become one of Guy St. Clair’s favorite pastimes, and it is a tale members will take much pride in hearing. St. Clair was commissioned in 1998 to prepare the commemorative history for the association’s centennial, and his narrative details a remarkable intellectual and professional journey through this fascinating century. It is a story we can delight in telling and re-telling as we move into our new and challenging second century of service as specialist librarians. Guy St. Clair is president of SMR International, a management consulting company headquartered in New York. St. Clair has been a member of SLA since 1972. He was Chair of MAHD in 1976-1977 and again in 1983-1984. In 1989, St. Clair was recognized with SLA’s Professional Award, and he was SLA’s President in 1991-1992.
