Awards
Karen J. Switt Award
Each year at the Annual Conference, the Leadership & Management Division has
presented its Management Leadership Award to an outstanding member in
recognition of significant contributions to, and leadership in, the profession
of information management during the past five years. In 1999, the award was
renamed the Karen J. Switt Award. Achievements may be in any aspect of library
and information management, such as human resources, finance, technology,
planning and strategy, communication, marketing and public relations,
information policy, ethics and visionary leadership.

Distinguished
Member Award
The award is for service to the division, to winners who meet all of the
following criteria:

Having served in many roles in the Division

Providing extraordinary service to LMD over a long period of time
-
Being at or near retirement
This
award is not intended to be an annual award or only for a single recent effort.
It is intended to be awarded occasionally for truly outstanding service over
time.
