Tour: National Indian Law Library and UC Boulder Law Library CANCELLED

8:30AM - 3:00PM

Location: Convention Center,  Lobby D Entrance

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder was named Best All Around Dream Town by Outside Magazine in August 2006. Boulder is also home to two important law libraries: the National Indian Law Library, and the new Law Library at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The National Indian Law Library (NILL) is a public law library devoted to federal Indian and tribal law, with a unique and valuable collection of Indian law resources and other information relating to Native Americans. NILL places special emphasis on fulfilling the information needs of Indian law advocates and others working on behalf of Native Americans.

The William A. Wise Law Library at UC Boulder serves the law school community, the university and the public as the largest law library in the state. The library holds over half a million volumes and equivalents on three floors of open stacks. Part of the environmentally-friendly Wolf Law Building, the library opened in its new home in August 2006.

After the tours, participants will have time for lunch and shopping at Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, a four block pedestrian mall lined with bookstores, gallerys, shops, cafes and restaurants. There you will find Boulder Bookstore, with three stories of books, thousands of walking shoes at the Pedestrian Store, and "insanely" good chocolates at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The mall opened in 1977 and continues to be one of the most successful outdoor malls in the U.S.
