The DGI Centennial Celebration Registration Giveaway
There is a lot to celebrate in 2009. The Special Libraries Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Government Information Division is celebrating its 5th anniversary. And to top it all off, DGI is celebrating the results of the SLA 2008 Recruit-a-Member Campaign, in which we won the Division Prizes for both Largest Increase in Members and Largest Percentage Increase in Members.
To celebrate all of this, DGI is giving away one registration for this year's Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. to a DGI member who qualifies for the Member Early Bird rate of $395.
To enter the drawing, e-mail your name, phone number, email address, and the sentence, "Yes, I am a member of SLA's Government Information Division", to Chris Zammarelli by 11:59 pm on March 26, 2009. You must be a current member of both SLA and of the Government Information Division. If you are not a member of DGI, you must join by 11:59 pm March 26, 2009.
Members of the DGI Executive and Advisory Boards in Washington, D.C. will meet to hold the drawing for the winner on March 27, 2009. The names of all entrants will be written on individual slips of paper, and a winner will be drawn from a hat. The winner will be notified by telephone that day. The drawing will be filmed, and the video will be posted online for all DGI members.
Drawing rules:
- The winner will receive one Early Bird registration for the SLA 2009 Annual Conference. The winner is responsible for paying for his or her own flight, transportation, lodging and per diem expenses.
- One entry per DGI member.
- DGI will verify with SLA's Membership Director that all entries are SLA members.
- DGI's elected Board of Directors members are ineligible to enter this drawing.
- The winner will consent to have his or photo and name posted on the DGI website's What's New section.
If you have any questions, please email Chris Zammarelli. Good luck and see you all in Washington, D.C. for SLA 2009!
