Government Information Division (DGI) Discussion List
PURPOSE
The purpose of the SLA Government Information Division email-based discussion list is to:
1) communicate DGI news to the division membership
2)
facilitate communications on professional issues among DGI members and others with a professional interest in government information and government libraries.
SUBSCRIBE
If you're an SLA member, send a message to the Subscription Address (lyris@sla.lyris.net) in the following format:
Leave subject line blank.
In message body, enter:
Subscribe SLA-DGI Your_Name (e.g., Subscribe SLA-DGI John Doe)
UNSUBSCRIBE
Send message to the Subscription Address (lyris@sla.lyris.net) in the following format:
Leave subject line blank.
In message body, enter:
Unsubscribe SLA-DGI
POST A MESSAGE
After subscribing, send a message to the entire list by addressing it to SLA-DGI@lists.sla.org

CHANGING EMAIL ADDRESSES
It is important for the user to subscribe/unsubscribe using the same email account. If your account changes for any reason, then you should unsubscribe from the old account and subscribe again using the new account.
DISCUSSION LIST GUIDELINES
• The discussion list is open to SLA members only, and should be used for the legitimate, professional purposes of the SLA Government Information Division.
• Copyrighted materials should not be posted on the discussion list without the permission of the copyright holder(s).
• Don't "flame" (for example, criticize another member of the list) on the discussion list. You should not send, or respond, to a "flaming" message.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in removal from the list.
