ERMD Outstanding Member Award

The SLA Environment and Resource Management Division (ERMD) Awards Committee will begin accepting nominations for the ERMD Outstanding Member Award in the near future. This award, offered annually to honor a member of the Environment and Resource Management Division, highlights the accomplishments and contributions of members to the Division. The award recipient is announced at the Annual Conference. The award winner will receive a $500 prize.

Criteria for entry are as follows: Membership in good standing for one year in the SLA Environment and Resource Management Division as of January 1, 2008. Distinguished achievement in the environmental and resource library profession through an exceptional contribution on the job, within the SLA ERMD, or within the industry at large. This accomplishment should have taken place within the calendar year immediately preceding the nomination; however, in selected cases, based solely on the Award Committee's judgment, recognition may be given for an ongoing, long-term contribution. All applications for the Award must include: full name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address for the nominator and nominee and a concise letter, maximum of two pages, highlighting the unique accomplishments and contributions of the nominee.
