Library and Information Science Students – As you well know, embarking on a new career path can be a daunting experience as you set up your goals for the future. You need to embrace a networking paradigm because most career opportunities arise out of nurturing professional relationships.
Special Libraries Association (SLA) and the Biomedical and Life Sciences Division can help you achieve success and satisfaction in your professional life.
Here are Five Very Practical Reasons for Students to join SLA and DBIO:
- Member dues for students are incredibly cheap. Reduced student membership
rate of $35 (you can receive this rate for up to 3 years!) makes
you a member of SLA and DBIO. Just fill out a Student
Membership Application form. Health Insurance is available.
- Programs and events to broaden your knowledge of the profession, whether
in person, at the Annual Conferences, or virtual
through SLA

for students. There are also many SLA
scholarships available. Travel
