News from SLA-WI members

The year 2008 has been packed with lots of excitement, and that is evident from the amazing work that our members have been doing!
Organizations
- The Reference/Research staff at the International Foundation has just produced the second annual Employee Benefits Survey: U.S. and Canada 2009. The Project Leader is Julie Stich, CEBS. Julie Miller worked as the Technical Coordinator, and Subject Experts are Kelli Kolsrud, CEBS and Pat Krajnak, CEBS. The survey can be found with the following link: www.ifebp.org/books.asp?6542
- The folks at J.J. Keller in Neenah were recognized with the November 2008 cover story of Information Today entitled "J.J Keller & Associates, Inc.: Adjusting to a Changing Market." The Wisconsin Chapter is lucky to have six members employed there: John Breese, Janice Laubenstein, Julie Malueg, Webb Shaw, Lisa Zwickey and Keelan De Leest. Individual Members
- Diane Gurtner, Past-Past-President, received the 2008 FAN Travel Grant for New Professionals from the SLA Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Division to attend this last year's conference in Seattle.
- Julie Stich, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, will serve as the 2009 chair of the SLA Bylaws Committee and will be treasurer of the Insurance and Employee Benefits Division for 2009-2010.
- Kyle Naff (hey, that's me!) is now the Webmaster for the SLA Business & Finance Division.
- John Cherney, WisDOT head librarian, has been elected to be the 2010-2011 Chair of the SLA Transportation Division.
- Joel Berger is the 2009 Treasurer for the SLA Leadership & Management Division.
- Andrea Minniear and John Cherney got married in May.
