About Us |
BACKGROUNDThe Wisconsin Chapter of the Special Libraries Association was established in 1931. The chapter has approximately 168 members representing large corporations, law firms, universities, government and non-profit institutions. The mission of the Wisconsin Chapter is to provide opportunities for members to develop professionally and to enhance their communication networks, thereby increasing the value of the profession and supporting the mission of the Special Libraries Association. The Wisconsin Chapter has seven meetings per year. These meetings provide the membership with educational and networking opportunities. Most of the meetings are held in the evenings in the greater Milwaukee area or in Madison. The Chapter also produces a quarterly bulletin called the SLANT that provides current news about the profession, events, and members.
