Edmonton May Event
Become a part of SLA history by attending the SLA WCC Edmonton area May 7 program. Bob Howitt of the Internet Centre will deliver a presentation entitled Inside the Net: Views from a Local provider. Again, details and registration information is available on the Edmonton May 7, 1998 Events page
UBC - SLAIS Class of '88 Reunion
We are planning a 10 year (gasp!) reunion for the class of '88 to be held during the CLA/BCLA conference this June in Victoria. We've arranged to have dinner at the ROMANO'S Macaroni Grill, 3195 DOUGLAS STREET (at the MAYFAIR MALL), on Saturday June 20th from 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. A room will be set aside for us for the evening. The cost is $25 each for a multi-course, all you can eat dinner, including tax and tip (drinks not included). If you want to attend, please let us know by June 1st and we also will need you to pay in advance.
Bring your favourite (or least favourite) library school or library career memories and photos if you like. And if you can't come, we'd love to hear what you're up to, and will pass the news along. Also, we don't know where everyone is, so please pass the info on to others.
Contact the still functioning social committee - Fern Teleglow at fteleglo@mail.orl.kelowna.bc.ca or Marjory Jardine at mjardine@intouch.bc.ca by June 1st, and send your cheque for $25 to Marjory (payable to Marjory Jardine). We hope to see you in Victoria!
