• The next Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 8:30 a.m. PST (9:30 a.m. MST, 10:30 AM CST) at the Department of Justice, Suite 900 – 840 Howe Street. Board meetings are open to SLA members; if you would like to attend please contact your local director or Debbie Schachter, SLA WCC President.
• Minutes from our April 2009 meeting are now available. Actually not posted just yet, but should be by the time this issue is released!

• Summer BBQ Social - Vancouver! Come out and enjoy a summer barbecue dinner on August 27th with your library colleagues on the beautiful patio at the Kingston and hear chapter president Debbie Schachter and past president Christina de Castell talk about SLA’s alignment project and its impact on our profession.
• Our distinguished Member of the Year Ulla de Stricker is presenting Making the Business Case at Internet Librarian International 2009 conference in London, England on October 14th, 2009.
• SLA 2009 conference handouts and podcasts from the 2009 SLA Conference in Washington, DC from June 14-17, 2009 are now available.
• Call for 2010 Participation are now being accepted. SLA 2010 Conference is to be held 13-16 June in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The theme of the conference is "Entering SLA's Next Century: Let the Good Times Roll!"
