JOE MATTHEWS BACKGROUND
Joe Matthews is the author of Strategic Planning and Management for
Library Managers, Measuring for Results: The Dimension of Public
Library Effectiveness, The Bottom Line: Determining and Communicating
the Value of the Special Library etc.
As a consultant, he has assisted libraries and local governments with
projects such as developing a Library Balanced Scorecard, assessing the
value and performance of library services, strategic planning,
developing performance measures etc.
Joe has taught library information systems, strategic planning, and the
evaluation of library services. He is currently on staff at San Jose
State University School of Library Science in California.
