SLA WCC Annual General Meeting, 2007

The SLA WCC Annual Business Meeting will be held on November 28th at 8:30am Pacific Standard Time. You are invited to join us as we report on our activities of the past year, and select our officers for 2008. Details are as follows:

Time: 8:30 - 9:30 Pacific Standard Time
Place: members can dial into the conference call
Vancouver location: Teck Cominco, 7th floor - 200 Burrard Street, hosted by Keith Low.

If you plan on attending either by conference call or in person in Vancouver, please RVSP to Robyn McDowell at robyn1.mcdowell@cra-arc.gc.ca and specify your city.

Election of Officers

The SLA WCC Nominating Committee announced on October 12 that SLA WCC is looking for dedicated and energetic library and information professionals to fill the following positions on the SLA WCC board:

President-Elect
Secretary
Treasurer
Communications Director
Fund Development Director
Alberta (Calgary) Director
Saskatchewan Director
Manitoba Director

Terms start in January 2008 and are of two years duration. (The President-Elect serves for one year, followed by a year as President and another as Past President.) We will accept additional nominations up to and at the annual meeting.

Current President-Elect, Susan McConkey, will assume the position of
President at the annual meeting.
