Directors
Procedures Manual: Directors
Position Description
In the Western Canada Chapter, regional directors are
responsible
for program planning in their regions. Each regional director may
appoint a program planning committee for his/her own region, and
provide the names of the committee members to the President. See
section III.G. Program Planning Committee for practices of the program
committees.
General duties
- Serve as a member of the Executive Board, including
undertaking special projects as required by the President
- Send copies of all correspondence that binds, or may
bind, SLA or the Chapter immediately to the Secretary.
- Submit activity reports to all members of the Chapter
Board prior to Board meetings
- Present an annual report summarizing activities to
Chapter Board and President prior to Chapter Annual Business Meeting
- Attend all Board meetings in person or by
teleconference
Term

The office of Director is a two year appointment.

The office of Director is assumed at the close of
the annual Association business meeting, or if no meeting is held, on
January 1.
Expenses
- Submit
to the Treasurer requests for reimbursement of out-of-pocket
expenditures with receipts and brief statements concerning the nature
of the expenditures.
