Duties
General
- Determine and maintain the appropriate media or
technology to communicate effectively to membership
- Maintain chapter website
- Understand the activities of the Chapter and SLA and
become acquainted with the interests of the members
- Serve as a member of the Executive board, including
undertaking special projects as directed by the President.
- Send copies of all correspondence which binds, or may
bind, SLA or the Chapter immediately to the Secretary.
- Submit activity reports to all members of the Chapter
Board prior to Board meetings
- Present an annual report summarizing activities to
Chapter Board and President prior to Chapter Annual Business Meeting
- Attend all Board meetings in person or by
teleconference
SLA WCC Web Site
- Establish guidelines for the overall structure and
design of the web site
- Coordinate Chapter pages (activities and events) with
content supplied by officers and chairs
- Establish security procedures for uploading and
removing files
- Redirect feedback to Board members
- Publicize the Chapter’s website at peer-group
meetings, SLA functions, and industry functions.
- Publicize the web site to the Chapter’s membership
using the Chapter’s discussion lists, Communities of Practice and
Bulletin.
- Communicate with the Association Webmaster to ensure
that the site is accessible.
- Troubleshoot problems on an as-needed basis.
- Work with Chapter President and Board to utilize the
website for publicizing the Chapter‘s functions and meetings.
- Make recommendations regarding new web technologies
to the Board.
Wired West
- Assist Bulletin Editor as needed with HTML markup and
preparation of Wired West
- Submit an article for each Wired West publication
(quarterly)
- Maintain the website archive of Wired West bulletin
Discussion List
- Provide the following back-up when Discussion List
Manager is away: oversee SLA WCC Discussion List; manage subscriptions;
respond to error messages, problems and general list questions

<>Expenses >
- Submit to the Treasurer requests for reimbursement of
out-of-pocket expenditures with receipts and brief statements
concerning the nature of the expenditures.
