Discussion List Posting Policy:
General Guidelines
- Discussion list should be used for legitimate business purposes
of the association unit or group.
- Copyrighted materials should not be posted on the discussion
list without the permission of the copyright holder(s).
- All SLA WCC members are encouraged to participate and utilize
the Discussion List
- You must be subscribed to the list to post messages
- Don't flame (criticize another member of the list) on the discussion
list. You should not send or respond to a "flaming"
message.
- Refrain from sending large files to the discussion list. Large
files consume system resources and may cause your message to be
undeliverable.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in
removal from the list.
Advertisements on the List
- General advertisements (products, services, etc.) are not permitted
- Postings advertising or promoting a professional development
event may be posted on behalf of a third party provided they follow
the criteria outlined below:
- Announcements should be brief and clearly define the event
- One announcement per event may be posted in addition to
one reminder 1 - 2 weeks prior to the event
- All postings of this nature (professional development) must
be approved by the list owner (or equivalent).
