Allan Cho

Allan holds an M.L.I.S. from the University of British Columbia and also an M.A. from the University of BC. He is currently Program Services Librarian in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the University of British Columbia Library, where he designs and delivers programs and services to support a variety of learners and instructors as well as assisting in the development of the Learning Centre's website, including the integration of new tools such as social software applications as well as other virtual resources and services to support a broad range of users. His prior positions have included Reference Librarian in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division at UBC Library, librarian at the Richmond Public Library, and Research Assistant in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University

Managing editor working with Communications Director

Duties and Responsibilities

coordinates content, theme and publication schedule of Wired West
produces e-journal at regular, established intervals
produces print abstracts to mail to members without internet access
submits copy to archives
encourages articles, editorials, etc. of interest to Chapter members
submits editor's annual report to the President
Technical Editor: Managing editor may delegate all or part of this position
- Handles HTML markup for web site, contributes design ideas, prepares to become Managing editor
