Virtual Program

Structuring/Delivering Content: Maximizing End-User Satisfaction

September 21 - October 20, 2005

New this year, SLA WCC will be offering free access to selected virtual programs to SLA MEMBERS ONLY. You will be able to view them from the comfort of your own desk at no charge. The SLA WCC board wants to show you measurable value for your membership, and with the help of our program sponsors, LexisNexis Canada and Micromedia Proquest, we'll be providing one free virtual program each remaining month in 2005. At the end of this trial period, we'll decide whether to continue with this initiative.

The speakers are:
Roger Beharry Lall, Research in Motion (RIM)
Joyce Ward, Executive Consultant for LexisNexis

How can you help your end-users get the right information at the right time? Hear case studies of how information professionals have added value within their companies by finding new ways to structure and deliver information through different platforms, including Web sites, intranets, portals, and mobile devices. With the widespread use of mobile devices, this has become a convenient way to deliver and access critical information while on the go. Find out where wireless technology is today and how future advancements could dramatically impact knowledge sharing.
