Knowledge Management
Knowledge Management (KM) is the process of capturing the knowledge,
including and especially that which resides in the heads of people, organizing it in
a way that makes it readily usable and ensuring that it is shared. If
this sounds familiar, it probably is. "[Librarians] need to change some
things about how they do their work, but the awareness and application
of knowledge has always been at the center of their jobs (Davenport &
Prusak). This buzzword turned business phenomenon may be just the push
our profession needs to grab a piece of the spotlight for all our hard
work. Make Knowledge Management a valued item in your toolbox today!
