Editors’ Letter
By Jo-Ann McQuillian, Stephanie Blundell & Peggy Cameron

We are pleased to bring you the Autumn 2003 issue of the Courier - it is jam-packed with a variety of articles for your reading pleasure.

The theme for this issue is Regeneration - after all, this is the time of the year when the earth prepares itself for its glorious rebirth next year. Many religions honour their ancestors at this time of year. Regeneration is about building on the past and creating new visions for the future.

The articles in this issue have a common thread - they all indicate a renewal or transformation that has or is taking place. Above all, the articles reflect the richness and diversity of our Chapter and I hope this will leave you with new inspiration for getting active, and getting involved.

If you have any comments on the articles, positive or negative, please let us know. If you have ideas for articles you would like to read or write, please let us know. Our goal is to make the Courier a rewarding reading experience for YOU.

We are pleased to showcase in this issue an unusual library, some shared experiences, some anecdotes and some food for thought. As well, check out Books Books Books - if you are a book lover and are looking for some interesting ways to spend your spare time, this will prove to be a most interesting resource.

There are two SLA-specific items we want everyone to look at: Nominations for the Diversity award and the SLA Recruit campaign. Both are time sensitive and both need your support and input.

Happy holidays from the Editors.
Jo-Ann McQuillan, Stephanie Blundell and Peggy Cameron
