Greetings Toronto Chapter!
By Heather Wilson, President

This issue of the Courier includes articles on the theme of new beginnings – new careers, new images, new people.

I hope that some of you will have the opportunity to attend some of our programs in the next few weeks. On February 2nd, we will be presenting Information Architecture: Best Practices for Structuring Your Intranet featuring Chris Farnum, Information Architect, Argus Associates as part of an SLA Toronto Chapter event developed in conjunction with the OLA SuperConference. If you are interested in attending some of the other sessions at the conference, please register with OLA at http://www.accessola.com/. On April 12th, 2001, there will be a lunch and learn session on Salary Negotiations. Our Annual General Meeting will be held on May 17th, 2001 – our speaker this year will be Linda Sims, business reporter for CTV’s Canada AM and CTV NewsNet.

I will be representing the Toronto Chapter at SLA’s Winter Meeting on January 25th and 26th. If you have any questions or concerns you would like me to raise with organization leaders or staff, please feel free to contact me.
