The SLA  (http://www.sla.org)  is an international professional association of more than 12,500 members who work in special libraries serving business, research, government, universities, media, museums and institutions that use or produce specialized information.

The goal of SLA is to advance the leadership role of special librarians in our information society. SLA provides members with a wide variety of services to enhance their skills as information professionals.
