Congratulations, Debbie!

 

Debbie Jan has been selected by the Awards Committee as the recipient of the 1998-99 Chapter Award for Professional Achievement.

Debbie spent several years on the Directory Committee, including two as chair, and while chair she managed the publication of a joint SF/SA directory after the two had been done separately. She also has chaired the Professional Development Committee, and continues to be active on that committee. She is currently Academic Relations Chair. Debbie has been active on the program committee and in a lot of behind the scenes work on the chapter web site, where her advice and expertise have been invaluable.

The Awards Committee members are Rita Evans, Angie Brunton and Tim DeWolf.  We plan to present Debbie's award at the September 1999 dinner meeting.
