Reflections and Directions
Looking back over 2007 I want to express my appreciation of all the hard work and commitment that Scott Brown exhibited as president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter. Scott worked closely with the DU Student Chapter and often attended their meeting. He was all about building bridges and encouraging participation on so many different levels. During 2007 he asked both Directors to chair special committees, Monnie Nilsson chaired one on membership and Ander Murane chaired one on program planning. The Board has begun to review the completed reports and during 2008 I hope to build on the information presented in the reports and bring some of the suggestions to our members.
I also want to ask everyone to give a big thank you to Lisa Backman who served as secretary for three years, to Ander Murane who just completed a two year stint as Director, and of course Ty Webb who was Past President extraordinaire!
I am excited about the new members to the Executive Board, Manuel Santos as President Elect, Chris Cook as Secretary, and Lori Dubois as Director.
