Jim Walther, Director of the Museum, will give an enlightening talk along with a tour of the museum.  He will speak about the processes involved in building a museum from the ground up and keeping it continuously funded as well as curating a special exhibit. As the museum’s advertising slogan states “You will not leave the way you came”.

The museum currently has a special exhibit entitled, “Yesterday's Tomorrows: Past Visions of the American Future".  What do we think the future holds? That perennial question is addressed in a special exhibition which explores the history of the future as well as the expectations and beliefs about things to come. This exhibit is an adaptation of an exhibition originally produced in cooperation with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.

About the museum:  The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is the nation's only congressionally chartered museum in its field and an intriguing place to learn the story of the Atomic Age, from early research of nuclear development through today's peaceful uses of nuclear technology. The Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate member. For more information, please visit: http://www.nuclearmuseum.org/
