Janice R. Lachance is the new Executive Director of the SLA. For the past two years, she served as a consultant with non-profit and membership organizations in the areas of strategic planning, organizational development, transformation and culture change.
From 1993 until January 2001, Janice held a variety of positions within the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the federal government's human resources agency, starting as the Director of Communications and Policy and serving as the agency's Director from 1997 until 2001. The OPM Director is a Presidential appointment with confirmation by the U.S. Senate. Her appointment by President Clinton was unanimously confirmed in 1997.

Directions from the North:
NJ Turnpike to Exit 9 - Route 18 North. From Route 18, take Route 1 South 18 miles. Exit Alexander Road East. Proceed two traffic lights and turn right into Carnegie Center. Take first right into hotel entrance.
NJ Turnpike to Exit 8 - Hightstown. Follow signs for Route 133 (west).
Follow Route 133 to Route 571 (aka Princeton- Hightstown Road). Take Route 571 to Route 1 and merge into Route 1 South. Exit Alexander Road East. Proceed two traffic lights and turn right into Carnegie Center. Take first right into hotel entrance.
Directions from the South:
Take 1-95 North into New Jersey. Exit at Route 1 North (Exit 67A) towards New Brunswick/New York. Proceed on Route 1 North 3 1/2 miles to Princeton area, exit right to Alexander Road East. At traffic light make right onto Alexander Road East. Proceed to next traffic light and make another right. Hotel entrance is on right.
