Karen Novick, director of professional development studies at Rutgers, SCILS, will give us some tips on writing a great résumé. Karen will also provide us with sources for finding job postings.
Lila Fredenburg, human resources librarian for Princeton University, will tell us what employers are looking for when they interview candidates.
Barbara Racich, owner of Merrick's on Moore in Princeton, will talk about personal presentation and appropriate wardrobe choices for job seekers.
Margaret Bennett, president of ProLibra Associates, will tell us how to work with library employment agencies.
Each presentation will end with a brief question and answer period. At the end of the presentations, the speakers will be available for half an hour for informal discussion and to answer additional questions in an informal round-table format. Attendees are encouraged to circulate among these groups.

DIRECTIONS FROM NEWARK AIRPORT:
Take the New Jersey Turnpike South out of Newark Airport to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). After the toll, follow signs for Rt. 18 North, to Rt. 1 South (Trenton). This is less than ¾ of a mile. Stay on Rt. 1 South for about 12 miles to Ridge Road. Take the Ridge Road jug handle, then cross Rt. 1 and continue straight through the light. At the next light make a left into the Dow Jones/Factiva entrance, stay to the left. At the guard booth you will be directed to visitor parking for Bldg. #5. Please proceed to the Factiva main entrance in Bldg. #5 lobby and sign in at Security. They will contact someone to escort you to your meeting.
DIRECTIONS FROM NEW YORK CITY:
Take Lincoln Tunnel to the New Jersey Turnpike (South) to Exit 9. Follow directions from the Turnpike. (above).
DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTH JERSEY:
From south Jersey, take Rt. 95 North, to Rt. 1 North, Princeton exit. Follow Rt. 1 North for approximately 25 miles to the Ridge Road light. Make a right at that light and then at the next light make a left into the Dow Jones/Factiva. At the guard booth you will be directed to visitor parking for Bldg. #5, proceed to Factiva main entrance.
