ABOUT SLA

The mission of SLA is to promote and strengthen its members through learning, advocacy, and networking initiatives.

The Special Libraries Association is an international professional association that represents over 12,000 information professionals and their strategic partners. Our members are employed by companies (both corporate and private), government agencies, technical and academic institutions, museums, medical facilities as well as information management consulting firms, information providers, and various collaborative associative organizations. SLA members are dedicated to putting knowledge to work to attain the goals of their organizations, usually facilitating better, more informed decision-making.
