Nicholas Berry
Librarian, Boeing
Nicholas is a transplanted Southerner, having graduated with his MSLIS from the
University of South Florida in 1996. He’s worked in academic, public,
state, school, and corporate libraries. At Boeing he was originally
hired to help develop an XML repository. He became involved with
taxonomy work when Boeing's library decided to investigate taxonomy
services in 2001. Since early last year, he has devoted himself
full-time to consulting with library customers regarding controlled
vocabularies and metadata development.

Ann Hemmens

Ann Hemmens received a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois
(1988), a JD (1993) and an MLS (2000) from the University of North
Carolina. She has been a Reference Librarian at the University of
Washington Gallagher Law Library since June 2000. She is current Chair of
the Social Responsibilities SIS within the American Association of Law
Libraries (AALL) and is current Vice President of Law Librarians of Puget
Sound (LLOPS), a local chapter of AALL.
Sue Eipert

For 6 years, Sue has been providing engineering, e-commerce,
manufacturing, and other types of companies with business and scientific
research and information needs assessments through Eipert Information
Services.
Prior to founding Eipert Information Services, Sue Eipert served as
corporate librarian for Golder Associates, an international geotechnical
engineering and environmental sciences firm in Redmond. There, as
national Director of Library and Information Services, she managed
library and research services for offices worldwide and supervised a
staff of 4. In addition she developed the company intranet and project
web sites.
Nanette Welton
Head, Information Resources
Health Sciences Libraries
University of Washington
Nanette Welton is the Head of Information Resources for the Health Sciences
Libraries (HSL) at the University of Washington. As Head of Information
Resources, her responsibilities include contract negotiations for HSL,
budgetary and management responsibility for electronic journals and
databases, and providing document services. She also works with several NIH
Grants to help organize a purchasing consortium and determine how to provide
better access to needed resources. Prior to the University of Washington,
Nanette worked for GlaxoSmithKline, a large pharmaceutical company in
Philadelphia, PA, as an Information Analyst. Nanette brings to the
profession previous work experience in finance, insurance, and law.

I have worked in libraries or bookstores most of my life. I worked at Bogle & Gates law firm as a library assistant, then paraprofessional researcher for several years, before going back to graduate school for a masters degree. Six years ago, I had the opportunity to join Dorsey & Whitney to manage the library in their Seattle office. My responsibilities have grown to include managing library resources for 6 regional offices.
Professional organization activities include:
Program Chair of the Law Librarians of Puget Sound (LLOPS), the local chapter of American Association of Law Librarians.

Janice Baker

I am originally from Kansas, a graduate of Emporia State University with
my Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Librarianship. I was the
music librarian for Central Washington University from 1969 to 1978. I
was Music Supervisor for the National Library Services for the Blind and
Physically Handicapped at the Library of Congress from 1978-1979. Then
from 1980-1996 I worked for library contractors doing technical
services, mostly cataloging. Finally I returned to Washington and have
been the librarian for the Museum of Flight since 1996.
