Annual Meeting Minutes
Thursday, May 20th, 1999
Lake Forest Park Civic Club, WA.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Alison Keyes, Chapter
President.

Thank you to Sponsor:
Alison called for all members present to show their appreciation for the
generous sponsorship of the Annual Dinner by Reiters, Inc. , and all did so.

Awards:
Alison called Rebecca Withington to the podium.  Rebecca, on behalf of Rhe
Van Dusen-Jain, presented the following awards, together with remarks.
1. Corporate Member Award - presented to Microsoft.
2. Life-time Achievement Award - presented to Lyn Sauter
3. Life-time Achievement Award - presented to Jeannette Privat.

Chapter Web Page:
Alison called Chris Mulready, the Chapter Webmaster, to the Podium.  Chris
unveiled the new Chapter Web Page, which had gone live to the internet that
very day.  All members present applauded this new web page.  Chris reviewed
the main areas of the Web Page, and read out the URL.  Alison thanked Chris
and his team for their hard work getting this up and running.

Acceptance of Slate:
Alison called on all members present to vote on the slate of candidates
presented to the membership at the previous Chapter meeting, April 7th,
1999.  The candidates are:

Nola Sterling for President Elect, succeeding Toni Emerson.
Corey Murata for Treasurer, succeeding Pam Cahn.
Dawn Duddleson for Secretary, succeeding Rebecca Withington.
Mary Frances Lembo for Director, succeeding Melissa McBurney.

Votes in favor: ALL
Votes against: None
Abstentions:  None

The slate was accepted as presented.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 for the presentation from Dr. Mike Eisenberg,
Director of the University of Washington School of Library and Information
Science.
