In these changing times, job descriptions and responsibilities for information professionals are changing too. What do we need to know to be successful in a changing workplace and how can we acquire the skills to prepare us? Join us as
Cindy Romaine, Nike Inc., Portland, will address important skills that you may not have learned while getting your degree.
Joe Janes, iSchool Faculty, will then describe the iSchool’s new curriculum and how it is addressing the skills and knowledge needed by information professionals in today’s environment.
SLA has established a Task Force on Branding to consider official adoption of a new name for the association. Cindy Romaine will report on her SLA Mid-Winter meetings as a member of the Branding Task Force. We encourage all SLA members to join in this discussion after the main presentation.

From I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about one quarter mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue three blocks to NE 41st Street. Turn left at
Gate #1 into the Central Plaza

From the South:
