ABOUT SLA NEBRASKA


Welcome to the Nebraska Chapter of SLA.  This chapter was formed in 1982 as the Omaha Chapter and changed its name in 2007.  Our membership includes librarians, archivists, and information professionals from legal, government, academic, nonprofit and corporate entities.  SLA Nebraska meets monthly in and around the Omaha area.  Meetings include guest speakers, tours, webinars and teleconferences in order to support the professional needs of our members.

information professionals.  SLA serves more than 12,000 members

from 83 countries in the information profession, including corporate,

academic and government information specialists.  SLA promotes and strengthens its members through learning, advocacy, and networking initiatives.
