Online Discussion Group Information
NJSLA's discussion group is now SLA-CNJ.
It provides a forum for announcements of Chapter programs, events,
job postings and news, as well as for other information of
interest to members.
To
subscribe, send the message: subscribe
SLA-CNJ your_email_address “FirstName
LastName" to LYRIS@SLA.LYRIS.NET.
Nonmembers are welcome to subscribe and contribute to the
discussion group as long as the postings are germane to the
purposes of the list.
You
may leave the list at anytime by sending a: UNSUBSCRIBE SLA-CNJ
your_email_address command to LYRIS@SLA.LYRIS.NET
from the email account that is subscribed to the list.

Be sure to leave the subject header blank and do NOT
add any extraneous text to your commands.

Digested Version of the Postings
Provides ONE cumulative posting per 24 hour

SLA-NJ messages may prefer the Digest version.

Log into the Lyris reader at
http://sla.lyris.net/read/login
Change your settings under “My Account”
Tab
In the drop down box by “Membership Type” select
“Digest”
|

To
set NOMAIL: Use NOMAIL to turn off your SLA-NJ mail
for short periods
|
Same as above, but
select “No Mail” in the “Membership Type”
drop down box
|
|

and reading list messages on the web go to

Above
commands will be CONFIRMED. If you do not receive a confirmation
message, your instruction will not have been applied.

Want to join the NJ chapter of SLA?
When you join the
Special Libraries Association, you get to pick one chapter for
free. Make sure you pick "New Jersey" from the drop down
box in the Chapter section to become a member of the northern NJ
chapter. "Princeton-Trenton" should be picked if you
want to become a member of the southern NJ chapter. Please go to
SLA's website for the membership application.
